Release: NetApp to honour customers with 2008 NetApp Innovation Awards

August 19, 2008 - NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) today announces it is accepting nominations for the 2008 NetApp Innovation Awards to recognise customers who have helped their companies, customers or communities through innovative deployments of NetApp products and solutions.
Award recipients are honoured for achieving positive business results using NetApp, demonstrating creativity and thought leadership in storage best practices and embodying the NetApp "can do" and "create a model company" spirit.
Nominees will vie for awards in the following seven categories: Enterprise Business Applications; Enterprise Infrastructure; Public Sector; Green; Individual; Humanitarian and Innovator of the Year. One winner will be selected in each category by a panel of independent judges consisting of distinguished representatives from the media and technology industries.
All nominations must be received by midnight Pacific Time on Friday, October 10, 2008, to be eligible for consideration. NetApp Innovation Award winners will receive the following:
* Two round-trip tickets to San Francisco, California, and accommodations for three nights' stay to attend the awards ceremony at NetApp Accelerate 2009, February 23-26, 2009
* Complimentary conference pass to NetApp Accelerate 2009
* Prestigious award presented during an awards ceremony at NetApp Accelerate 2009
* An exclusive Innovation Awards Winner dinner with NetApp executives
* VIP access to a special concert event at NetApp Accelerate 2009
* Public recognition and visibility in the industry
