Release: RECOMMIND ACHIEVES TOP RANKING IN 2008 SOCHA-GELBMANN ELECTRONIC DISCOVERY SURVEY
posted on 22 July 2008 12:52
Recommind, a leading provider of enterprise search, email management and eDisclosure systems for enterprises and law firms, announced today that its unique Axcelerate eDisclosure software has quickly achieved a top ranking in the 2008 Socha-Gelbmann 6th annual Electronic Discovery Survey.
The survey recognises Recommind as one of the top software vendors in the eDisclosure space.
“We surveyed 155 organisations — 107 services and software providers, 29 law firms and 19 corporations – for the most detailed profile we’ve ever conducted of the eDisclosure industry,” said George Socha, founder of Socha Consulting LLC. “Recommind’s ranking reflects survey participants’ satisfaction with Axcelerate eDiscovery and the frequency with which they use the software.”
Announced in August 2007, Axcelerate eDisclosure offers revolutionary early case assessment (ECA), automatic coding, review and analysis technology that dramatically improves the way litigation review and analysis is conducted. Using Recommind's award-winning conceptual search and unique First-Pass Review and One-Click Coding functionality, Axcelerate eDisclosure is able to automatically assess document responsiveness, privilege and issue relation before the review process begins. This process drastically reduces the amount of time required to organise and conduct document review and analysis while simultaneously increasing review accuracy and consistency.
“Recommind’s strong pedigree as the leading conceptual search and auto-categorisation vendor to large enterprises and law firms made us the ideal choice for creating a game-changing ECA and document review solution,” said Craig Carpenter, VP of marketing and general counsel, Recommind. “Working with our customers, we created Axcelerate eDisclosure to support far quicker and more accurate and efficient ECA and document review. Our high ranking in the Socha-Gelbmann survey, achieved less than a year after announcing Axcelerate eDisclosure, testifies not just to the power and effectiveness of our product, but the strong relationships we build with our clients.”
The Socha-Gelbmann Electronic Discovery survey, published annually since 2003, has become a standard reference for the size, scope and growth of the electronic discovery market. It gathers data through confidential interviews and self-reported information from eDisclosure customers, service providers and software providers, as well as an array of secondary sources. The 2008 participants included a wide variety of law firms and some of the largest companies in America.
