ISLANDIA, N.Y., May 27, 2008 – CA, Inc. (NASDAQ: CA) today announced that CA Records Manager received a "Strong Positive"-the highest possible rating-in Gartner's 2008 "MarketScope for Records Management." ^* CA was one of 11 vendors evaluated in the report.

CA Records Manager, part of CA's comprehensive Information Governance solution, automates record-keeping processes to help users gain faster access to information, save time and money and facilitate compliance with regulatory, legal and business requirements.

According to the report, Gartner estimates the worldwide records management market to be approximately $400 million in software license and maintenance revenue in 2007, an increase of 30% from 2006. This market is forecasted to have a five-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 25% between 2008 and 2013.

CA Records Manager is the first records management application to be certified by the United States Department of Defense (DoD) against version 3 of the U.S. DoD 5015.2 standard, which provides for greater data security and integrity. According to Gartner, The DOD 5015.2 has become the de facto benchmark for records management products, particularly in the U.S.
