Pricing plan details
Developers who use Google's App Engine to develop their applications will get 500MB of storage at no charge plus compute resource and network bandwidth equivalent to 5 million pageviews/month.
The applications run on Google's infrastructure. The App Engine facility was launched in April and there are around 60,000 users so far. Another 150,000 have signed up. Beyond the starting storage, network bandwidth and compute resource, developers will be charged:-
- $0.10 - 0.12 per processor hour
- $0.15 - 0.18 per GB/month for storage
- $0.11 - 0.13 per GB exported
- $0.09 - 0.11 per GB imported
These prices are said to be similar to those levied by Amazon.
