Leading VAR for storage products

London, UK - May 12th, 2008 - Acronis today announced an agreement with CMS Peripherals to distribute its full range of award-winning enterprise backup, disaster recovery, migration and deployment software in the UK.

CMS Peripherals is the UK's leading, independent value-added distributor (VAR) of storage solutions.

Under the terms of the agreement, CMS Peripherals will distribute the full Acronis True Image (ATI) family of enterprise backup and recovery software designed for both virtual and physical environments.  The product family includes ATI Workstation, ATI Enterprise Server, ATI Server for Windows and ATI Server for Linux.

In addition, CMS Peripherals will distribute Acronis Snap Deploy, a software tool that lets IT managers quickly and easily configure, and then simultaneously deploy, multiple desktops or servers.  Snap Deploy features energy-efficient Wake-on-LAN technology that allows IT managers to deploy new desktop and server configurations over the network during quiet times, such as overnight or during the weekend, without requiring machines to remain on full power during this period.  Snap Deploy is typically used as a replacement to cloning software and manual installations for fast deployment of standard workstations and server configurations, even when target machines have dissimilar hardware form the master unit.

Kevin Moreau, general manager for Acronis UK & Ireland, said: "This is a very significant development for Acronis.  With 20 years of extensive experience selling storage solutions to small and medium-sized businesses, CMS Peripherals will help take the Acronis brand to the next level via its very broad base of storage resellers.  In return, we bring a product range that fits with CMS's portfolio and expertise in storage, with a focus on creating opportunities for resellers and value for their end-users."

Commenting on the agreement Joe Fagan, group product marketing manager at CMS Peripherals said: "We make it our business to identify the best emerging enterprise storage vendors with the highest potential and then take them to market in the most efficient manner.  We believe the Acronis brand has great prospects in the UK and offers our resellers one of the best and most reliable storage management, disaster recovery and deployment solutions available."

The new agreement also calls for close cooperative marketing and support between the two companies. CMS Peripherals will promote Acronis software to its new and existing customers and, in return, Acronis will provide dedicated technical support and training to CMS Peripherals, as well as detailed product guidance and direct sales support for its key clients.
