The launch of RecoveryShieldTM from Thinking SAFE™ will be welcomed by companies across all sectors that are still grappling with their systems and data availability. 

For a complex, multi-site organisation, the solution reduces disaster recovery (DR) time and DR data loss from days to minutes, and fully automates the backup and offsite replication of data and systems, all at a price that even small companies can afford.

RecoveryShieldTM is targeted at service providers, enabling them to bring tier one corporate data availability to the mid tier masses, in essence reducing the barriers to becoming SaaS providers.

New technologies and architectures have emerged over the past few years that have dramatically changed the way companies can provision their systems. This new architecture uses disk-based backup and replication solutions along with system and storage virtualisation platforms to drive higher levels of service availability. When compared to a traditional tape-based backup system the price/performance is dramatically improved.
