SharePoint continuously protected

InMage Systems has announced continuous data protection (CDP) and disaster recovery for SharePoint.
Microsoft's SharePoint has over-taken Domino/Notes to become the leading collaboration application for Windows environments.
Rajeev Atluri, CTO and engineering SVP at InMage Systems, said: “DR-Scout delivers continuous data protection and availability for SharePoint environments in a unified solution. Streamlined replication ... based on block-level differences and real-time data changes eliminate the risk of data loss that can occur between traditional backups and snapshots.”
SharePoint relies on back-end SQL Server databases. DR-Scout continuously protects these and makes them recoverable if there is a disk crash, database failure or disaster. Both point-in-time and event-based restorations are possible with events having tags like bookmarks.
Unlike generic or horizontal CDP products, DR-Scout is SharePoint-aware and maintains application and data consistency across multiple SharePoint servers and databases running SQL.
