Amersham, UK - 1 April, 2008 - Compellent Technologies, Inc. (NYSE Arca: CML) today announced the appointment of Jon Brooks as business development manager for the UK and Ireland.

In his new role Brooks, who has more than 15 years experience in the storage and IT industry, is responsible for growing sales of the Compellent Storage Center, the company's award-winning storage area network (SAN), through a select network of channel partners across the region. He is based at the
company's European headquarters in Amersham, Bucks, and reports to Andy Hardy, managing director of international sales for Compellent.

"From the outset, the Compellent SAN was designed to be the ideal storage platform with its unique blend of all-channel sales, scalable technology, and efficient manufacturing," said Hardy. "Jon brings a wealth of experience
in account development, partner liaison and technical expertise, and we expect his contribution to channel partners and end-users alike to be significant."

Brooks was previously with EMC Corp. where he held the position of territory account manager on the company's commercial sales team. Before EMC, Brooks also held senior business development positions at Plasmon and Adaptec, both of which involved a large element of reseller, partner and channel liaison.
