Could EMC sell all or some of VMware?

Barrons reports it might
Barrons reports that two analysts from Cowans & Co think EMC may sell off some or all of VMware during 2009.
Their reasoning is that it would add shareholder value to EMC, possibly by 30 percent or so, and, secondly, EMC CEO Joe Tucci has indicated possible willingness to entertain such a notion. The analysts say this makes more financial sense than EMC holding on to VMware for the long haul.
I don't know what the sage of Omaha, Warren Buffet, thinks but he might disagree.
