Windows Live SkyDrive out of beta
Microsoft has enlarged its Windows Live SkyDrive storage-in-the-cloud service from 1 to 5GB. SkyDrive is also now a functioning service and not a beta test trial. SkyDrive lets users store personal and sharable folders. It works in the USA and 38 other countries across Europe, the Americas and Asia.
This is a Microsoft stake in the ground for cloud computing services and Windows Live is going to be the umbrella brand for a whole range of personal services. If the Yahoo acquisition is successful then Yahoo technology would also be rolled into it - presumably. Try out the service here .
