Is Left Hand VMware's right hand?

VSA features in VMWorld VMware labs

Left Hand Networks VSA (virtual storage appliance) is being used in the VMware labs at VMWorld in Cannes.

VSA is a virtualised package of Left Hand Network's SANi/Q product, one that aggregates industry standard servers with direct attached stirage (DAS) into an iSCSI SAN.

It is simple to install, set up and operate, An ESX cluster's own disks cab be turned into a SAN and functionality includes thin provisioning and replication.

DataCore also has a VMware virtualised version of its SAN software but this isn't (yet) certified by VMware. It looks like Left Hand has stolen an effective march on its iSCSI SAN competitors.
